Background
Dreams were treated as messages to be interpreted in many ancient societies, including Mesopotamia (evidence from at least 3100 BC), Egypt and Greece. In the modern era Freud, Jung and later psychology and neuroscience offered other theories of what dreams mean.
How it works
You type or choose the main symbols of your dream; each is matched against a dictionary of traditional meanings (including Indian swapna lore), and you are asked how they connect to your waking life.
Notes and limits
Safety: This is not clinical advice. Frequent nightmares, distressing dreams or sleep problems are worth discussing with a doctor or mental-health professional.
