Background
Western astrology is historically based on Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos, itself a continuation of Hellenistic and ultimately Babylonian traditions. It uses the tropical zodiac, which starts at the March equinox.
How it works
A horoscope is drawn for the moment of birth showing planets in signs and houses, and the angles (aspects) between them are interpreted.
