Nine Star Ki

A 1924 Japanese consolidation of Chinese methods that gives each year a number from the Lo Shu square.

PlannedCalculatedModern practice

A description for now. An interactive tool for this method is planned but not built yet.

Background

Nine Star Ki was assembled in 1924 by Shinjiro Sonoda from traditional Chinese methods such as Flying Star feng shui, combining the Lo Shu square with the Later Heaven bagua. It is often used alongside feng shui.

How it works

Your birth year gives one of nine numbered "stars" placed in the Lo Shu square, and their positions are read alongside the bagua.
